Rhoda May Howell, 95, of 144 Suzie Lane, Attica, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lafayette at 5:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 23 (1976). She had been a patient at the hospital four weeks and had also recently been a patient at the Turtle Creek Nursing Home in Lafayette. Born August 8, 1880 at Greensburg, she was the daughter of John and Amanda Bryant Jackson. She was married to Edward C. Howell May 29, 1901 in Greensburg. He died in July of 1947. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. John (Courtenayelee)) Crawford of RR 1, Attica; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. A resident of Wabash 54 years, she had been a resident of Attica since 1955. She had attended high school in Greensburg. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Wabash, Order of Eastern Star, Wabash Chapter No. 90 Services were held Saturday at Grover Memorial Mausoleum at the South Park Cemetery in Greensburg, with the Rev. William Clemenson officiating. Dale Maus Funeral Home of Attica was in Charge of arrangements. The family requests that memorials be in the form of contributions to the Fountain County heart fund or the Fountain County Cancer Society. -- tch
